Areas owned     Congost de Fraguerau   Access to the Maps server  One of the most invaluable spots in the Montsant Natural Park in terms of scenery and fauna is the Fraguerau gorge.   The gorge is notable for its relief of spectacular shapes, with crags, gorges and gullies combining with a wide variety of vegetation. Mediterranean woodland stands out, with oaks and Aleppo pines predominating. This is one of the few places in southern Catalonia where communities of fauna have remained almost intact. The area also has a wedge of riverside woodland, which borders the river Montsant.
